I was hanging out with some story games people today and we had a bunch of seeds bouncing around for various games we thought it would be fun/useful to start a list. No reason not to crowd source it so… if you have an idea for a game you think would be fun to play one day and don't want to forget it, post it here. It could be system neutral or a think you think would make an interesting session of a specific game. I'll start.
I'd love to see a Kingdom of a group of graffiti people/vandals. Potential crossroads: does the Kingdom paint [[something]] on top of the Space Needle?" |

Ooh, fun stuff!
I've always wanted to do a game of Geiger Counter in the style of the Iliad. The characters are all the Greek heroes and the menace is THE WAR (well, technically the Trojans). Heroes get their glorious moment in the sun and then die, their armor clattering around them… |

Kingdom
The Clergy of Prester John. Prester John is the saintly king of a Christian kingdom, isolated somewhere Far To The East. (Basically an excuse to reboot Early Church History and see where it ends up this time. Chances of me ever finding three other people who think this is the most awesome idea ever: slim.) Utopia, New Jersey. Victorian model society founded by a bunch of wacky reformers. Free love! Temperance! The spiritual growth of artisan labour! The magical healing properties of yoghurt! Egalitarianism (as long as I can bring my valet along)! Shooting the Moon The Doom of Britain. The classic Arthur / Lancelot / Guinevere triangle. Plays out over many years. |

Kingdom with disciples/prophets of a burgeoning religion, whether in a realistic setting or not.
Kingdom as a reality TV family trying to avoid cancellation and build an empire on publicity and product lines. I'd also still like to try Polaris as Star Wars. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, an empire was rising... |

I'd like to try an experiment with The Quiet Year in which each card, instead of being a week, represented the passage of an entire year (call it The Quiet Half-Century), one where it represented the passage of a single day (The Not-Especially-Quiet Two Month Period), and one where it represented the passage of, like, 10 miles on the huge caravan path from the City of Jackals to to the town Shepherd's Frost (The Quiet Journey).
Also, a Kingdom which is composed of Saruman's orcs schlepping their way from Orthanc to Minas Tirith (or a similar situation: an army of evil, ten thousand strong, on the march). Edited by Ed Turner on Jun 9, 2014 3:54 PM |

Microscope - All the dreams that a person experiences in one night
My Daughter, Queen of France - Shakespeare is the daughter, trying to reconcile their parent's abandonment; or, Shakespeare is trying to reconcile a divorce; or, Shakespeare is a ghost, trying to locate the seeds of his/her demise. Fiasco - Failed/loser super-villains, trying desperately to thwart their equally pathetic nemeses (a la Venture Bros) Metro Finale - Give the stations personality profiles, just like the Bodhisattvas. Each station could be modeled after a stage for grief, a cardinal virtue, a deadly sin, etc. |
