Who: Richard, Steve, Caroline
When: Thursday August 25 What: Microscope! We started out with the idea of having both a lighthearted game and a cyberpunk game. What resulted was a surprisingly hopeful exploration of what it means to be human in a post-human, post-work society. Our bookends were "Wage Emancipation", where work ends, and "The Next Horizon", where we leave the solar system. We explored themes of connection, technology, religion, and conflict in between. We saw the first human-robot marriage dissolve. We celebrated as humans developed vacuum adaptation. We mourned as colony after colony above Jupiter failed. We held back tears as non-modified humans came together to help after terrorists unleashed a virus that decimated modified-human populations. Thank you one and all for the excellent game! 49 index cards of pure creative joy. Look at all those light circles! |
